In a weather forecast, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that a westerly weather system has entered in the country on Sunday(night) and likely to persist till Wednesday.
Cold northeasterly winds blowing in the city with wind speed of 18 kilometers per hour. The wind speed is expected to enhance to 25 to 30 kilometers per hour.
Scattered dust/thunderstorm-rain are likely in Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Thatta, Umerkot and Hyderabad districts on 17 to 18 October, the met office forecast.
The weather across the country will mostly remain hot and dry but rainfall with thunderstorm is expected at some places in upper Sindh, eastern Balochistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan region.
The weather will remain hot and dry at most districts of the province, while Thatta, Badin, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Islamkot, Mithi, Nagarparkar will likely to receive rainfall with thunderstorm, according to the weather report.
According to a weather report, rainfall with thunderstorm is expected at Islam Kot, Mithi, Nagarparkar, Tharparkar and adjoining areas on Saturday (today) and Sunday.
Widespread rain and thundershowers with a few heavy falls are likely in Tharparker, Umerkot, Sanghar, Badin, Thatta, Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad and Karachi districts.
Karachi, Thatta, Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Nawabshah and Badin will likely to receive rainfall with thunderstorm on Thursday, the weather report further said.
