In a bid to provide relief to the masses amid the holy month of fasting, Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Friday said that the provincial government has approved Rs5 billion Ramazan package.
The commodities at the subsidized rates will be provided at the nationwide utility stores.
The cases have been filed against the flour mills owned by Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leaders after the completion of an inquiry opened by Punjab ACE.
The ECC would also approve a supplementary grant of around three billion rupees for the Hunarmand Jawan Program.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said, “19 essential commodities, including pulses, rice, cooking oil, and sugar are being provided on subsidized rates at about two thousand Utility Stores outlets.”
He said the reports about the performance of ministers submitted to the chief minister who is authorized to take decisions in accordance with the vision of the prime minister.
