Rana Tanveer Hussain
Rana Tanveer Hussain is a well-known Pakistani politician, economist and industrialist associated with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Born on 1st October 1949 in a political family in Sheikhupura, Punjab.
After completing his early education from government school Rana went to Punjab University and got a degree in Economics in 1969. Born in a political family it was not hard for Rana Tanveer Hussain entered politics he become the district member of council in Multan.
He stood up for general elections first time as an independent candidate but unfortunately could not succeed in the elections. After trying twice for the general elections Hussain got succeeded in 1997 general election form NA-132 and become the member of national assembly and appointed as the special assistant to prime minister on finance.
After completing his tenure from 1997 to 2002 Rana contested for general election 2002 but could not sustain his seat from 2002 – 2008 which later he regained his constituency NA-132 in general elections of 2008 and added to the federal cabinet of Prime minister Yousaf Raza Gillani.
Rana Tanveer Hussain has been appointed as the Minister of Defence Production in the third tenure of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) by the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
