Police officials have reportedly arrested a volunteer distributing ration bags among deserving families in Karachi’s Al-Falah neighbourhood on Friday night.
The members of team continued the distribution of ration to the deserving families in the sealed UCs of the port city after taking protective measures.
The deserving families in Sindh were deprived of ration despite released of over Rs1 billion funds to the deputy commissioners 20 days ago by the provincial authorities.

In a step to provide relief to the people who have lost their livelihoods amid coronavirus lockdown, the Sindh government has provided ration to over 212, 000 families thus far, said provincial Minister for Education Saeed Ghani.
Pakistan Navy has distributed ration among thousands of deserving families in different parts of the country, including coastal and creek areas.
The minister hinted that ration and cash payments could be increased in case of another extension of lockdown.
The ration will be distributed at union council level and would be provided at the doorstep of the families.
