Mild 5.4 magnitude earthquake felt in several parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A mild earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter Scale struck several parts of the country including the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. The tremors were felt in several cities including Rawalpindi, Chiniot, Pindi Bhatian, Bhawal, Phalia and Kalabagh. The residents were jolted and came out of their homes in fear and shock. ISLAMABAD: A sudden and violent shaking of the earth’s surface panicked residents in major areas of the upper country on Saturday. Tremors were felt in areas including Swat, Abbottabad, Batagram, Shangla and Chillas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, ARY News reported.
