A large portion of Katcha area in Larkana district has submerged after high flood in Indus river. The river water level is surging continuously, causing erosion to Mangli Bund.
The outflow of the river at Guddu has been measured at 540,700 cusecs according to the report. The inflow in Indus could be between 530,000 to 565,000 cusecs in next 24 hours.
The river has been in medium flood at Sukkur Barrage and flood stream of over 5,50,000 cusecs is expected in Sukkur today. With this flow the water level will reach to high flood range at the barrage, the FFD said.
According to reports around 40 villages have submerged and standing crops drowned under the raging water of Indus between Rohri and Pannu Aqil in upper Sindh.
The inflow of water in Indus has reached to 5,50,000 cusecs at Guddu Barrage and the water level continuously rising at the point, according to the water record.
