Sindh govt extends Rangers’ special powers for 90 days

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday extended special policing powers granted to the Rangers for 90 days within Karachi, ARY News reported. According to the details, the CM approved a summary extending the powers granted to the paramilitary force under Section 4(2) of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) 1997 within Karachi division for 90 days. The summary will be forwarded to the federal government for approval.
