Terming the filing of reference in Islamabad by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Asif Ali Zardari has pleaded the SC to pass judgment for the transfer of the case to Karachi.
He filed the plea through his lawyer Farooq H Naek
The hearing was adjourned until October 1
The court has served notice to the NAB and sought reply on the plea of the former president on September 24.
The accountability court in Islamabad on Tuesday ordered to seize vehicles of former president Asif Ali Zardari and erstwhile prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Toshakhana case.
According to sources, Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur will reach Islamabad from Karachi tomorrow as the People's Party has decided to show its political muscle during hearing of the case.
Asif Zardari has decided to appear before the court, announced Senator Raza Rabbani.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supremo has requested the court to nullify the accountability court’s decision to advertise his summons in the case.
Accountability court has also ordered investigation officer of NAB to present record of all vehicles on August 5.
The hearing was adjourned until August 17.
