Twitter cuts suspect users from follower counts again, blames bug

SAN FRANCISCO: Twitter made another attempt to make users’ tallies of followers more accurate, subtracting millions of suspicious followers which had reappeared on the social media service since a major purge in July. NEW YORK: Twitter posted revenue and profit ahead of Wall Street estimates on Thursday, as higher advertising sales offset a drop in monthly users to push the company’s shares up nearly 12 percent before the opening bell.
