Police confiscate fake ballot papers in Umerkot, arrest five people

UMERKOT: Police in Umerkot apprehended at least five people suspected behind publishing fake ballot papers ahead of the election day. The law enforcers say that the fake ballot papers were being transported to PS-52, a constituency with bigwig contestants like Arbab Ghulam Rahim (Grand Democratic Alliance), Syed Ali Mardan Shah (PPPP), Neelam Walgi (PML-N) and Ms Salma (MMA). Death of sanitary worker: Doctors’ arrest prompt boycott at hospitals

UMERKOT: Police have arrested  the Civil Hospital Umerkot's medical superintendent booked along with two other doctors for refusing medical aid to four sanitary workers that resulted in the death of one of them, ARY News reported. Police action prompted doctors to boycott the OPDs and even the emergency services at the hospital and other medical facilities in Kunri, Pithoro and Samaro, adding to the miseries of patients.
