Upgradation of Peshawar-Karachi railway track to begin in December: minister

PESHAWAR: Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Saturday said the railway track ML-1 from Peshawar to Karachi would be renovated by the end of next month. Talking to newsmen in Peshawar, he said renovation of the track was part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. Rs 2.9bn sought for upgradation of railways

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Railways has planned up-gradation of 31 railways stations at an estimated cost of Rs. 2972.95 million across the country for provision of better facilities to the passengers. “In this regard, Pakistan Railways has submitted PC-I for approval to rehabilitation and up-gradation of the railways stations,” according to reports. Pakistan, China sign agreement for upgradation of Karachi-Peshawar railway line

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China on Monday signed a framework agreement for upgradation of Karachi-Peshawar Railway Line (ML-1).
