PM directs to continue subsidy on fertilizers

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday directed for continuation of the provision of subsidy on fertilizers.  The prime minister said that agriculture is the backbone of the national economy and farmers play a pivotal role to strengthen the economy of the country. Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has successfully completed urea import operation against $100 million credit facility provided by Saudi Fund for Development (SFD). November 2013: Sale of Urea increase by 47pc

KARACHI: The sale of Urea fertilizer of the country has witnessed increase of 47 per cent during the month of November 2013 as compared to previous month, ARY News reported.
