US police shot and killed 987 people in 2017: WPost

WASHINGTON: Police officers shot and killed nearly 1,000 people in the United States in 2017, slightly more than the previous year, according to a tally published on Monday by The Washington Post. US police used Facebook, Twitter data to track protesters

WASHINGTON: U.S. police departments used location data and other user information from Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to track protesters in Ferguson, Missouri, and Baltimore, according to a report from the American Civil Liberties Union on Tuesday.
