Qatar to plant 16,000 trees to spruce up World Cup venues

DOHA: Desert country Qatar will plant at least 16,000 trees in a bid to "beautify" its eight planned 2022 World Cup stadiums, tournament organisers said on Thursday. TOKYO: The International Olympic Committee has refused to rule out the option of moving Tokyo 2020 Games venues to other Japanese cities in a bid to slash rocketing costs.
