ECP to decide fate of votes cast by overseas Pakistanis today

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will decide the fate of votes polled by overseas Pakistanis in Sunday’s by-elections after a meeting with NADRA officials today. ECP orders recount of votes in Larkana’s PS-13

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has ordered a recount in PS-13 (Larkana) – the seat won by Pakistan Peoples Party's Hizbullah Bughio. The ECP issued the order following a petition was filed by Grand Democratic Alliance candidate Adil Altaf for recounting in the constituency. The case was heard by the ECP bench headed by the chief election commissioner. Number of rejected votes in presidential election increase

ISLAMABAD: The count of rejected votes in the presidential election on Sep 5 witnessed an increase from 27 to 28. Initial results showed Arif Alvi secured 353 presidential votes, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman received 185 votes, while Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Aitzaz Ahsan received 124 votes. ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday gave the go-ahead for recounting of votes in 26 National and provincial assembly constituencies.
