Pakistan Meteorological Department in a weather report earlier informed that a strong westerly wave entered in Pakistan on Wednesday and likely to persist till Sunday.
It is to be mentioned here that the metropolis recorded its coldest night in last 10 years when the mercury dropped to 5.6°C on the new year night between Thursday and Friday.
Balochistan's Shirani, Zhob, Qila Saifullah, Pishin, Mastung, Naushki, Chagai, Sibi and Ziarat districts are expected to receive rains and snowfall.
According to ARY News, a westerly wave likely to enter in Balochistan from Iran bringing a new spell of rainfall in the country, which will likely to drop temperatures further.
Rain with thunderstorm is expected at isolated places in Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Bannu, Kalat, Makran divisions, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir regions today, met office said in its forecast.
The weather department has predicted dust-thunderstorm and rain at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Multan, D.G khan, Bahawalpur, Malakand, Hazara, D.I Khan, Sukkur divisions and Kashmir.
Rain and thunderstorm also predicted at isolated places in Balochistan's Quetta, Zhob, Kalat and Makran divisions, Malakand division and Gilgit-Baltistan region with light snowfalls over the hills.
