Taliban commander killed in Battagram police encounter

According to media reported, heavy contingents of police carried out an operation Saath area of Battagram when terrorists opened fire at the cops. An exchange of fire took place after which one of the terrorist was killed.

The slain terrorist was identified as Hafiz Nisar and he was the commander of TTP Shangla Torghar group.

Sources said that Nisar and his two partners had attacked a police checkpost two days ago after which a police officers was killed and another was injured.

DPO Raja Saboor Khan said that the slain TTP commander was wanted to the police and the provincial government had announced a bounty of Rs. 1 million on his head.

The arrested terrorist was shifted to an unknown location for investigation.
