PESHAWAR: Taliban-nominated committee for peace talks has taken off for North Waziristan Agency, to meet the supreme council of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The committee comprises of Professor Ibrahim, Molana Yousuf Shah and Molana Abdul Hayi – ARY News reports.
Member of Taliban-nominated committee, Professor Ibrahim in his exclusive word with ARY News, told that the committee is intended to discuss affairs relating to leading the negotiations process further. He told that Molana Abdul Hayi is accompanied them as a guarantor.
Ibrahim stated that none of the Government committee members, is going along with them to the TTP stronghold, nor have they so far made any contact with the reconstituted committee of the Government of Pakistan.
He stated that the Government committee will be contacted and it will be informed about the proceedings of the meeting with Taliban elders, upon their return from the North Waziristan.
Members of Taliban committee flown to their destination in a chopper provided by the Federal Government and they are to reach to the political agent of North Waziristan, wherefrom he will lead the committee to Taliban.
