If Taliban had complain, they should have consulted peace committees: Pervez
RAWALPINDI: Federal Information Minister, Pervez Rasheed has said that the Government wishes to acquire peace without a conflict, whereas if Taliban had any complain regarding security agencies, then they should have taken the peace committees into confidence – ARY News reports.
While talking to media here on Wednesday, Pervez Rasheed told that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif formed the peace committee to avoid any bloodshed in the way of peace. He inquired that the ones asking for implementing Shariah should elaborate what behavior Shariah teaches with prisoners.
Rasheed stated that if Taliban had any complain about the security agencies then they should have consulted the dialogue committees.
The Information Minister stated that the rule of law will remain there in the state, no one should have any doubts about this and the defence institutions are highly capable in all aspects.
Moreover, the Governor Punjab, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that terrorism and negotiations cannot move parallel to each other, our intentions were regarded with suspicions, but the Government has proven its sincerity by forming the committee for dialogue with Taliban.
