Taliban should be dealt with talks, says Munawwar Hassan

LAHORE: Chief of Jamat-e-Islami Syed Munawwar Hassan warned on Sunday that results of military operation would be dangerous, ARY News reported.

Addressing to participants of training institute in Mansura in Lahore, Munawwar Hassan said that government is now deflecting from the decision that was made in the All Parties Conference (APC) and started fulfilling the demands of United States (US) by conducting operation against Taliban.

“It is the responsibility of government to defend national independence and sovereignty by taking decisions at their own rather following instructions of US”, he added.

JI’s Chief said that head of every party agreed on the opinion to pave ways of talks with Taliban and advised to stop threatening behavior.

Munawwar said that Taliban offering to held peace talks but government wasn’t replying to their offer.
