PESHAWAR: The peace talks with Taliban likely to go ahead in next 48 hours, ARY News reported on Saturday.

Professor Ibrahim, a member of Taliban peace committee, has said that the Taliban Shura has asked for two days to determine the place for direct talks with the government negotiators.

He said the negotiating committee of Taliban had contacted with Taliban Shura for the direct talks between the government and Taliban. He said the talks are gradually moving forward and he was hopeful for better results.

Maulana Yousuf Shah, another member of Taliban committee, while confirming the contact with Taliban Shura said that the sides will discuss the release of prisoners, ceasefire and other issues in the second phase of direct talks.
