Taliban demand end of military operations, says Ibrahim

ISLAMABAD: Taliban have expressed reservations over the government's behavior, Professor Ibrahim, a member of Taliban negotiating team said on Wednesday.

According to ARY News, two members of Taliban Shura, Azam Tariq and Qari Shakeel, have communicated with Maulana Yousuf Shah and discussed the matters related to the process of dialogue, Prof. Ibrahim said.

Taliban leaders have expressed concerns over the military movement and demanded for stopping military operations, he said.

Ibrahim said Taliban are serious about dialogue and the government should also become serious over the demand of release of Taliban prisoners.

The concerned quarters have  been informed about the complaints of TTP leaders, he added.

The government committee has also urged Taliban to stop attacks on security forces.

After Tehreek e Taliban's refusal to extend ceasefire on April 10, the peace process has hit snags.
