ISLAMABAD: The Taliban-nominated committee headed by Molana Sami ul Haq, has met the Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and informed him about the discussions held with the political council of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in North Waziristan – ARY News reports.
During the meet, Molana Sami ul Haq expressed his determination that a way of peace shall be found out, for the both the sides are intended to take forth the negotiations process.
On this occasion, the Federal Interior Minister praised the efforts of the committee for the sake of peace in state and insured them all possible assistance to be provided by the Government in this regard.
Earlier, member of Government negotiations team, Habibullah Khattak had also telephoned Molana Sami ul Haq and sources had reported that both the committees are expected to meet in next 24 hours.
Moreover, another positive advancement occurred when Jindullah and Al-Qaeda also announced a ceasefire today for a limited period of time, so that the negotiations process between the Government of Pakistan and Taliban could not be affected.
