Talks can't be held with people not submitting to constitution: Iftikhar Chaudhry

TOP NEWS

GUJRAT: Former Chief Justice (CJ), Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has said that negotiations cannot be held with the ones not submitting to the constitution. He added that terrorists are neither Muslims nor humans and we will not step back at all and will win against terrorism eventually – ARY News reports.

After extending his condolences to the family of Justice Rifaqat Awan, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that the Islamabad Court Attack occurred due to the negligence of the security agencies and there is no difference of opinion in that. He stated that if the security agencies did not improve the situation then God forbid, another attack can take place somewhere.

The ex-CJ urged the judges and lawyers to play their role in convicting the true culprits brought before them, so that no one could dare do so in future.

Iftikhar Chaudhry said that the one acting against the constitution deserves no mercy for the state never surrenders. He added that negotiating with militants is executive's job, judiciary will never interfere in it, yet the constitution of Pakistan does not allow any attack on the state and the state itself should not compromise on issues.

He, however expressed grief that the process of investigation in Pakistan could not be brought up to the mark and numerous accused take benefit of fake investigation and get from the courts.
