Talks to go ahead after identification of Taliban groups, says Dastageer

ISLAMABAD: Khurram Dastageer Khan, Federal Minister for Trade and Commerce, said that the negotiations will take place after Taliban will be identified, ARY News reports on Tuesday.

Addressing Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khurram Dastageer Khan said that there is still time for the peace talks to be finalized. "We are in the phase of identifying Taliban groups who want to hold peace talks", he added.

The Federal Minister for Trade and Commerce said that the identification process is underway as to who wants to hold peace talks with the Pakistani government.

Khurram Dastageer Khan further said that federal government will decide as to whom they want to hold dialogues with after the initial phase.
