Talks resume between govt, PTI; PM’s resignation still an issue

ISLAMABAD: Negotiations between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) teams, have resumed once again in order to find a solution to the weeks’ long political crisis, however none of the parties is ready to step back on PM’s resignation, ARY News reported.

Talks between government and PTI are being held at the residence of Jehangir Tareen. The government delegation includes Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Lieutenant General (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch, Information Minister Pervez Rasheed and Zahid Hamid.

From PTI’s side, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umer, Pervez Khattak and Arif Alvi are present at the meeting.

Sources told that PTI is still firm on its demand of resignation by the premier, while the government is ready to admit all the demands other than the stepping down of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
