PESHAWAR: A meeting of Taliban Committee has been underway at the residence of Maulana Samiul Haq after the government committee called off a meeting for peace talks, ARY News reported on Monday.

In response to Taliban's announcement of killing 23 security men, which were in their captivity since year 2010.

The reports about killing of FC personnel by Taliban have given sleepless night to the chief of Taliban talks committee Maulana Samiul Haq, Yousuf Shah, a representative of Samiul Haq, said on Monday.

Shah deplored the killing of 23 FC personnel. He said that Maulana Samiul Haq would soon hold a meeting with the leadership of the Taliban and that the Taliban negotiating committee would soon issue a statement over the attack.

He, however, expressed disappointment over the government committee's decision to put off today's meeting.
