Talks with Taliban to be restricted within constitutional sphere: Rana
LAHORE: Law Minister Punjab, Rana Sanaullah has said that anybody can withhold the desire to be the Ameer ul Momineen, but the constitution of Pakistan is Islamic and talks with Taliban will be restricted within the constitutional boundaries – ARY News reports.
Talking to media outside the Punjab Assembly, Rana Sanaullah said that if the spokesperson of Tereek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Shahidullah Shahid wishes to see Khilafat in Pakistan, then he is free to wish so, yet the talks will be restricted within the constitutional sphere for the constitution of Pakistan is specifically in accordance with Islam.
He added that the negotiations between the Government and Taliban committees are also being held keeping in view the constitution of Pakistan.
Responding to a question about recent wave of terrorism, Rana said that Taliban are also condemning the incidents taking place now a day.
Commenting on custodial violence by law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in Karachi Operation, the Law Minister labeled it as a conspiracy against the operation itself.
