Target killing, extortion watching steady decline in Karachi: Thebo

KARACHI: Karachi Police chief Ghulam Qadir Thebo said on Friday that target killing and extortion collecting incidents have decreased in Karachi, ARY News reported.

Talking to ARY News, Thebo said that central Karachi is facing sectarian target killing while police personnel are being targeted in Korangi.

He revealed that illegal mobile SIMs are being used to collect extortions and to curtail the activities of such criminal elements.

Thebo maintained that extortion collecting incidents have seen a fifty percent decrease while terming the recent wave of target killings a conspiracy against Karachi.
