Gov't team for Taliban Talks informs PM about recent advancements

ISLAMABAD: The Government's team for talks with Taliban, has met the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif and informed him about the advancements in the negotiations process with Taliban – ARY News reports.

According to details, Government committee for peace talks with Taliban met the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here on Monday at the PM House, all the four members of the committee namely Irfan Siddiqui, Rahimullah Yousufzai, Major (R) Amir and Rustum Shah Mohmand were present on this occasion.

During the meet, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan was also present along with PM Nawaz Sharif. Members of the peace committee briefed the Prime Minsiter about the recent advancements that took place in the negotiations process with Taliban.

The meeting also pondered upon the demands laid forward by the banned militant outfit, whereas PM Nawaz Sharif also listened to the suggestions by peace committee members.
