QUETTA: The 13-year-old girl in Quetta was raped and then strangulated to death by her own brother, police informed media on Monday in light of startling confessions made by the prime suspect.
According to police, the suspect made these confessions during an interrogation.
The suspect’s blood sample and other evidences have been sent to laboratory for forensic tests, police officials said. The victim’s body was found in Killi Ismail area of Balochistan’s capital on Sunday.
Dr Noor Baloch told media persons at Civil Hospital here that initial medical examination report suggests the teenager was raped before she was strangulated to death. However, he said a detailed medical report would be issued after autopsy.
On the occasion, DIG Quetta Abdul Razzaq Cheema said a special team under supervision of SSP Investigation Jawad Tariq has been constituted to probe the murder.
Moreover, incumbent Chief Minister Balochistan Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has also taken notice of the incident and ordered a report from the authorities.
