Terror outfits prone to use different names: IG KP

PESHAWAR: Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtonkhwa Nasir Durrani said on Thursday that terrorist organizations had been changing their names to evade police action and arrests, ARY News reported.

Talking to media after offering funeral prayers of martyred police officers in Peshawar, the IG said those killed in police encounter the other day were target killers who had recently been released from the jail.

Regarding reports of terror outfit Daesh, also known as Islamic State, emergence in Pakistan, Durrani said terrorist outfits had been changing their names to evade police action.

He said operation Zarb-e-Azb was continuing with full force and “entire police force salutes the Pakistan Army.”
