KARACHI: A terror plot was foiled in Orangi Town area of Karachi as Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused a home-made bomb on Friday, ARY News reports.
Bomb Disposal Squad defused a local made bomb after they received information regarding a suspicious package at a street in MPR Colony of Orangi Town.
According to BDS officials, two kilograms of explosive device, ball bearing and nut bolts were planted in a tin can. According to investigation, it was being said that it was prepared in such way that the explosives would go off when the sun rays reflected the can.
Police have stated that the explosive material was planted near a three storey residential building in which a trader named Ghulam Hasan was living. Initial investigation states that the incident could have been carried out on extortion basis, Police added.
