Terror Threat: Security high alert in twin cities

ISLAMABAD: Security high alert has been declared in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi due to terrorism threat, ARY News reported on Friday.

The security agencies in a raid in Fauji Colony arrested three suspects for alleged links with Taliban militants.

Moreover, search operations were launched in Wah Cantt, Texila, New Town, Saddar and Civil Lines areas.

The law enforcement agencies detained 43 persons in raids including three foreign nationals.

Meanwhile, security agencies in an operation in Rasool Nagar area of Faisalabad arrested 12 suspects including six Afghan nationals.

Secret agencies conducted raids in Azeem Colony and Brohi Goth in Nawabshah district. The law enforcement personnel nabbed five persons and recovered police uniforms and weapons from their possession.
