Terrorism, energy crises halt foreign investments in Pakistan: Nawaz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that foreign investment is not taking place in the country due to the challenges of terrorism and energy crises – ARY News reports.

 

The statement was made as the Prime Minister addressed a session of Asian Parliamentary Assembly here on Tuesday.

 

During the address, Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan seeks to promote democracy, peace, development and cooperation in the region. He added that foreign investment in Pakistan is not taking place due to the challenges such as terrorism and energy crises.

 

He also added that the Asian countries should set new principles and laws to benefit from mutual experiences. 

 

Prime Minister lauded the efforts of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and stated that it aims to eradicate poverty from Asia till 2015.
