TOP NEWS

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has stated that the Government will return terrorists' attacks on their strongholds, whereas it is also forming a joint intelligence directorate under the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) – ARY News reports.

According to details, the Federal Interior Minister mentioned that if an attack occurs by the militants than the forces will retaliate by pounding their headquarters. He added that the Government has made some important decisions for eradicating terrorism from Pakistan.

Nisar said that so far the coordination among the intelligence agencies (IAs) is being strengthened in order to deal with miscreants and their conspiracies effectively.

Yesterday at the floor of the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had told that he was stunned to know that there are 26 intelligence agencies (IAs) operating in Pakistan, which is the second highest number in the world, after the United States (US).

He had told that there is no center of coordination among these agencies, nor they share classified information with each other, due to which a lapse is persisting in the security of the state to be effective enough.

The Interior Minister had mentioned that the Government is forming a joint intelligence directorate under NACTA, where all the agencies will be sharing secretive information in order to foil any terrorist plots by devising a comprehensive counter-terrorism strategy.
