Terrorists fleeing Zarb-e-Azb can regroup in Afghanistan: Fatemi tells US

WASHINGTON: Pakistan Prime Minister’s advisor on foreign affairs Tariq Fatemi met officials from US department of foreign affairs and expressed fear that terrorists fleeing the operation in Pakistan can regroup in Afghanistan, ARY News reported.

According to details, US official expressed concern over the reports that terrorists have moved to safe havens before the start of Zarb-e-Azb operation upon which Fatemi stressed that Pakistan has suffered most in the war against terrorism.

He said that the operation is against all terrorists from all organizations while saying that terrorists fleeing the operation may have reached neighboring Afghanistan.

Fatemi said that NATO forces in Afghanistan and the country’s own forces should wipe out such terrorists as they can regroup and start activities against Pakistan.
