Thai Chief of Defence Forces meets Khwaja Asif
ISLAMABAD: Minister of Defence, Khwaja Muhammad Asif has said that Pakistan did not face that much damage in three different wars in its history, as much lives it lost in fighting against extremism – ARY News reports.
The statement was during his meeting with Thailand's Chief of Defence Forces, General Thanasak Patimaprakorn on Tuesday. The Thai General praised the professionalism, training and war capabilities of Armed Forces of Pakistan.
On this occasion, Khwaja Asif said that the armed forces and the people of Pakistan suffered greatly in the War on Terror. He said that Pakistan Army is one of the best trained forces of the world and it has rendered countless sacrifices in war against extremism.
The Minister of Defence said that Pakistani troops laid their lives for the eradication of terrorism from the country and the region.
He said that Pakistan believes in the policy of non-interference and it praises the participation of the people of Afghanistan in the elections.
