MITHI (Sindh): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said on Sunday that some impediments were in way to relief activities in drought-hit Tharparkar, ARY News reported.

He said it’s the time to go together to resolve crisis and prevent any further loss of life. “We are now providing 50kg each of wheat sacks instead of 25kg to the Thar victims,” stated the chief minister.

“We are trying to adopt steps to protect lives”. He said specialist doctors for children had made it to the location and treating them properly.

We also want, the CM said, to send 14 mobile dispensaries to treat people at their doorsteps.

Shah said he had also sought report of deaths in the wake of drought.

The chief minister stated that he could not tell about number of deaths in the district.

Shah said livestock could also not be provided fodder due to drought.
