Thar coal project to resolve power crisis in Pakistan: CM Sindh

KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah has said that Thar power project will resolve the energy crisis of Pakistan, ARY News reported.

A four member delegation of Engro Corporation led by its Chairman Hussain Dawood called on the Chief Minister of Sindh on Friday. The delegation discussed coal mining and the development of the Thar coal power project in the meeting.

The chief minister said that the power project has been first joint venture of Sindh Government and Engro Corporation.

“The coal excavated from Thar coalfield will be utilized for power generation,” he added.

Chairman Engro congratulated Murad Ali Shah on becoming the Chief Minister of Sindh and assured the provincial government full cooperation in the energy sector.
