KARACHI: Sindh Government has made several administrative changes as Makhdoom Jameel-ul-Zaman has been relieved from the post of relief department whereas Relief Commissioner Lala Fazl-ur-Rehman has been sacked from office, ARY News reports.
Sharjeel Inam Memon, Information Minister of Sindh, stated that Jameel-uz-Zaman will continue his duties in the revenue department.
The decision was taken due to the negligence of the two officials in the relief operations of the Thar drought, government sources said.
Senator Taj Haider has been given the charge of Relief and Rehabilitation department.
According to sources, former President Asif Ali Zardari and the top leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has been angry over the administration officials for being ignorant of the situation in Thar region.
