DIPLO, THARPARKAR: Affectees of Diplo town in drought-hit Tharparkar staged a protest demonstration on Friday against non-provision of relief goods, ARY News reported.
The victims converged at the press club and shouted slogans against the government for not providing them relief items. Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah had already that government was facing impediments in distributing relief goods across the district.
Meanwhile, two more children died in Mithi in the wake of famine like situation in the district.
A proposed maternity home worth Rs 5 million at Civil Hospital Diplo is existing mere on papers. The project could not be started as yet. The work on the project is suspended for two years, while no details for the project’s budget utilization are available.
The water supply system also lacks at the Civil Hospital Diplo, thus adding to the miseries of the local people.
