Thebo assumes charge as new Chief of Karachi Police
KARACHI: The new Chief of Karachi Police, Ghulam Qadir Thebo while taking charge of his office, has vowed that Karachi Operation shall be continued until achievement of all the goals – ARY News reports.
In his exclusive word with ARY News on Friday, Ghulam Qadir Thebo expressed his determination to provide peace to the people of Karachi. He said that target-killing incidents were reduced during the recent operation in the city.
Thebo however, admitted that the graph of street crimes could not decline up to an extent, it was supposed to.
The newly appointed Karachi Police Chief also vowed to take an action against the black sheep in the department.
He told that Rangers is assisting the Karachi Police and all the political parties are seeking peace in the metropolis.
Ghulam Qadir Thebo referred to the operation as a positive step towards the restoration of law and order and said that targeted actions will be continued in parts of the city, where these are still required.
