Avalanche Studios has announced that open world hunting game, theHunter: Call of the Wild, will be released on Xbox One later this year.
Anna Bouveng, Executive Producer, said that the studio may be known for explosive action games like Just Cause 3 and Mad Max, but open-world hunting has been very close to their hearts for a long time.
In February, the studio released the latest game in a series on PC. Later, they created a dedicated team in-house to bring the game on console after amazing response and requests from players.
“We’re beyond excited to bring theHunter: Call of the Wild to Xbox One in 2017,” said Bouveng but did not provide a confirmed date on the release.
She said the theHunter franchise has more than seven million registered players and offers some of the most immersive hunting experiences.
The game provides the serene experience of going a virtual hunting trip, where some players do not even fire a gun but instead go around with their binocular and admire the nature, taking pictures with an in-game camera.
The game also provides some players a completely different experience. Several members of the theHunter community are real-life hunters who put their experience and knowledge of the wild in the game.
Bouveng said that hunting is a social experience, and players can team up with friends or even complete strangers and head into the wilderness to find the majestic wildlife present in the game.
