Three accused in Imran Farooq murder case sent on remand

The court approved one day transit remand of the three suspects – Moazzam, Khalid Shamim and Mohsin.

The suspects were presented in the court amid high security.

Sources informed that a joint investigation team could be constituted to probe the case.

Yesterday, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered FIR against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain and others from the party in Dr. Farooq murder case

MQM leaders Mohammad Anwar, Muazzim Ali, Kashif, Syed Mohsin Ali and Khalid Shameem have also been nominated in the FIR.

According to the text of the FIR, the conspiracy for the murder of MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq was hatched in Pakistan.

The case filed by the counter-terrorism section of the investigation agency has been registered under clause 7 of the anti-terrorism act (ATA).
