Three civilians, one soldier martyred in Indian firing along LoC

RAWALPINDI: Indian troops resorted to unprovoked cease fire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) and martyred three civilians including a woman and one soldier on Friday.

The Inter Services Public Relations in a release said India targeted civil population with heavy weapons in Rakhchikri, Rawalakot.

“Two civilians including a woman embraced shahadat, while one civilian got injured,” it said.

The ISPR said Army patrol assisting evacuation of civilian casualties also came under Indian firing resulting in Martyrdom of Naib Subedar Nadeem, while three other soldiers got injured.

Pakistan Army troops gave a befitting response to Indian army posts which engaged civil population. There are reports of casualties on Indian side as well, said media wing of military.
