Six injured in Peshawar explosion

According to reports a bomb exploded at Charsadda Road in Peshawar in which at least six people, including a traffic warden, were injured.

Security and rescue teams arrived at the scene. The injured persons were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital for treatment.

SSP Operations stated that 1.5 kilograms of explosive material was used to carry out the explosion. Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) started to collect evidences from the blast site for investigation of the incident.

It is being said that the terrorists wanted to target target traffic police officers in the explosion.

Security was placed on high alert in the provincial capital following the bomb blast.
