Three policemen injured in Quetta blast

Unknown terrorists targeted a police mobile van, police sources said.

An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was planted on roadside, which was detonated when the police vehicle passed by the spot, police said. The blast thoroughly damaged the vehicle.

The explosion rocked the area and injured at least three policemen. The injured were rushed to hospital for medical attendance.

Heavy contingent of police reached to the crime scene after the incident and launched search operation in the area.

According to bomb disposal squad 2.5 kilogrammes explosives were used in the bomb device, which was attached with a remote control.

Quetta, the seat of government in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Baluchistan, regularly face terrorist attacks and acts of sabotage causes losses of life and property to civilians and the personnel of the law enforcement agencies.
