Three terrorists killed in Balochistan operation

QUETTA: Law enforcement agencies on Wednesday conducted an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan and killed three wanted terrorists.

The operation was conducted in Kundi and Killi Zard Ghulam Jan located in district Kalat after receiving an intelligence tip off on the presence on terrorists in the area.

Security forces reportedly killed three terrorists allegedly affiliated with the proscribed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Daesh terror outfits. The were identified as Khubaib, Shoaib and Waheed and were wanted by law enforcement agencies since 2004.

Furthermore, four women and children held hostage at their hideout were also recovered.

Security forces also recovered arms from their possession including three Kalashnikov, 200 rounds of ammunition and China gun.  Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), explosive device and communication equipment were also recovered.

CTD arrests three terrorists in Multan

In another operation, the Counter-Terrorism Department of the Punjab Police arrested three suspected terrorists in Shujabad area of Multan. A CTD spokesman said that the three suspects were planning to target law enforcement agencies and officers.

The were identified as Muhammmad Afzal, Shauakt Hayat and Sohail. Arms and ammunition including four hand grenades were recovered from their possession.  A case has been registered at CTD Multan police station and further investigations are underway.

In Lahore, investigation police arrested three criminals belong to two separate gangs involved in car and motorcycle theft.

Liaquatabad investigative in charge Hamad Akhtar said the suspects were allegedly involved in the several incidents of theft. The suspects were identified as Ali Muhammad, Farman and Ashiq Hussain.

Police also recovered Rs600,000 cash, four motorcyles, ten mobile phones and other items from the possession of both gangs.

Police said that suspect Farman Bhatti is wanted in more than fifty cases out of which eleven have traced, while Ashid Hussain and his gang is involved in several cases and ten of them have traced.
