Time now to make peace talks decisive, says Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan said the time had come to make peace talks with Taliban decisive, ARY News reported Monday.

A meeting of National Security Council was held with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the chair wherein the interior minister briefed the participants on Taliban talks.. The meeting also reviewed internal security and overall security situation in the region.

It also discussed post-Afghan elections scenario. 

Nisar said reservations had been conveyed to Taliban committee on terrorism incidents. “Taliban committee is told that the time has arrived to make peace talks decisive and discussion should be held on complete agenda,” Nisar informed the meeting.

The meeting was attended among others by DG ISI Zaheer-ul-Islam, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and special adviser to PM, Tariq Fatmi.
